Journey to Thimphu (1.5 hours)
From Paro, we embark on a scenic 1.5-hour drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s charming capital city. The route follows the Paro River to Chuzom, where it merges with the Thimphu River, guiding us to the heart of Thimphu. Along the highway, enjoy stunning views of landmarks and villages, such as the Paro Airport Birds Eye Viewpoint, Bondey, Shaba, and Isuna, before passing through Thimphu’s welcoming gate.

Day 02: Thimphu Sightseeing to Punakha (2.5 hrs drive)
Embark on a scenic journey from Thimphu to Punakha, crossing the famous Dochula Pass, which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayan ranges, particularly clear during winter. The drive descends into the warmer valleys of Wangdue and Punakha.

- Buddha Viewpoint: Visit the Buddha Dordenma statue in Kuensel Phodrang Nature Park, overlooking the southern Thimphu valley.
- Memorial Chorten: A key monument in Thimphu, built in memory of Bhutan’s Third King and dedicated to World Peace. It’s a popular site for locals practicing Buddhist rituals.
- Dochula Pass: Known for its 108 chortens and majestic mountain views, this is a must-visit spot for its serenity and scenic beauty.
- Lamperi Botanical Garden: A haven for nature lovers, especially in spring, with rhododendrons, diverse plants, and over 220 bird species. It’s perfect for a picnic stop.
- Punakha Dzong: Built in 1637, this stunning fortress is the winter residence of Bhutan’s religious head and a historic site for Bhutan’s first National Assembly. Nestled between the Pho Chu and Mo Chu rivers, it’s one of the most photogenic landmarks in Bhutan.

Day 03: Punakha to Paro (3 hrs drive)
After having breakfast, begin the journey to Paro, retracing the scenic route via Dochula Pass, Simtokha Dzong, and Chuzom tri-junction. Enjoy another chance to soak in the stunning Himalayan vistas from Dochula’s snowcapped mountain views, making the drive refreshing and memorable.
Key Experiences:
- Chimi Lhakhang (Temple of Fertility): on the way back to Paro, our guide will take you to Chimi Lhakhang. It is popularly Known for granting blessings of fertility to childless couples, this temple offers a unique spiritual experience. A short hike through the picturesque village of Mesina adds charm to the visit.
- Paro Dzong: Also called the “Fortress on a Heap of Jewels,” this 17th-century architectural marvel showcases Bhutanese craftsmanship. Its imposing structure dominates the Paro valley and serves as the administrative center of the district.
- Ta Dzong (National Museum): Built in 1649, Ta Dzong then watchtower protecting Paro Dzong, is now houses Bhutan’s finest historical artifacts. Its unique design and rich collections of traditional weapons make it a must-visit for the visitors.

Day 04: Paro Sightseeing
Paro is a charming valley adorned with fertile rice fields and a pristine river winding through its landscapes. Known for its historical landmarks, luxurious resorts, and souvenir shops, it is also home to the world-renowned Taktsang Monastery.
Highlights of the Day:
- Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest): Paro Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest Monastery) is situated at an altitude of approximately 3,120 meters (10,240 feet) above sea level. It clings to a sheer cliff face that is around 900 meters (3,000 feet) above the Paro Valley floor. This iconic Buddhist site is Bhutan’s most famous landmark. While experienced trekkers can reach the monastery in two hours, most visitors take the entire day to enjoy the hike and its stunning views.
- Kyichu Lhakhang: One of Bhutan’s oldest and most sacred temples, believed to have been built in a single night by Tibetan King, Songtsen Gampo (pronounced Songchen Gambo in some dialects) subdued a giant ogress (mythical or supernatural female being) hindering the spread of Buddhism. Over time, the temple has grown in size and greatness.
- Hot Stone Bath at a Farmhouse: A traditional Bhutanese experience with therapeutic benefits, the hot stone bath is enjoyed in a private setting, often as a couple. It’s a perfect way to relax after a day of exploration. Dinner is served alongside this unique activity (additional cost; consult your guide).

- Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Cancellations must be communicated in writing.
- Cancellation fees:
- If the cancellation is before 45 days: 90% shall be refunded. Wire transfer charges shall be applicable as per the Bank.
- If the cancellation is between 30-45 days: 75% shall be refunded. Wire transfer charges shall be applicable as per the Bank.
- If the cancellation is between 20-30 days: 50% shall be refunded. Wire transfer charges shall be applicable as per the Bank.
- If the cancellation is less than 20 days: No refund, however date change request shall be permitted.

- Definition of Emergency
An emergency is defined as an unavoidable and unforeseen circumstance that prevents travel. This may include:
- Medical emergencies involving the traveler or immediate family.
- Natural disasters affect the traveler’s location or destination.
- Death in the immediate family.
- Government-issued travel bans or restrictions.
- Notification of Cancellation
Travelers must notify us as soon as possible in case of an emergency. Notification can be made through:

- Required Documentation
To process an emergency cancellation, supporting documentation must be provided, such as:
- Medical certificate or hospital records.
- Death certificate.
- Official notice of travel bans or restrictions.
- Refund Policy
In case of a death in the family, we require a cancellation email and a copy of the death certificate to process the refund.
- Land Services: A 100% refund will be provided, minus applicable bank transfer charges.
- No Show: Refunds are not possible for no-shows after arrival.
Similarly, in case of serious illness or accidents, we require a cancellation email and hospital medical documents for verification to process the refund.

- Early Departure Due to Unavoidable Circumstances:
- If a guest must return or end their trip early due to unavoidable circumstances (e.g., medical emergencies, natural disasters, or other verified reasons), the following refund policy will apply:
- Notification and Verification: Guests must notify the management as soon as possible and provide supporting documentation if required.
- Refund Policy: A full refund shall be issued for the remaining days of travel not utilized.
- Processing Time: Refunds will be processed within 5 working days after the request is approved.
Note: If a guest return or end their trip early with avoidable circumstances (within control), the refund shall not be permitted.
Special Promotions or Packages: Reservations made under discounted rates, promotional offers, or packages may be subject to stricter cancellation and refund terms.
- Rescheduling Option
Instead of canceling, travelers may opt to reschedule their trip within a specified period, subject to availability. Rescheduling fees may be waived in genuine emergency cases.
- Third-Party Services
Refunds for third-party services (e.g., airlines, hotels) will depend on their company policies. We will assist travelers in negotiating with these providers.
- Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance to cover unexpected emergencies.
- Exclusions
The following situations are not covered under this policy:
- Cancellations due to a change of mind.
- Pre-existing conditions were not disclosed at the time of booking.
- Delays or cancellations caused by personal negligence.
- Changes to the Itinerary
- The company reserves the right to modify the itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances, including weather, safety concerns, or government restrictions.
- Substitutions of similar value will be provided where possible.
- Inclusions and Exclusions
- Inclusions: Specify items such as accommodation, meals, transportation, visa fees, Sustainable Development Fees (SDF), guided tours, etc as specified in the tour package. The capacity of the vehicle includes guide and driver.
- Exclusions: Costs like personal expenses, travel insurance, and additional services not listed in the package. Room upgrade & change of hotels available on extra cost.
- Travel Insurance
- Travelers are required to purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies, trip cancellations, loss of belongings, and personal liability.

- The company is not liable for any:
- Loss, injury, or damage to personal property.
- Delays, cancellations, or disruptions caused by third-party service providers, natural disasters, or unforeseen events.
- Traveler Responsibilities
- Ensure passports, visas, and other travel documents are valid and up to date. The passport must have a minimum validity of 6 months from the intended date of departure from Bhutan.
- Comply with local laws, customs, and regulations during the tour.
- Notify the company of any special requirements, such as dietary restrictions or medical needs, at the time of booking.
- Health and Fitness
- Travelers must ensure they are medically fit for the tour.
- It is the traveler’s responsibility to consult a doctor before traveling, if necessary.
- Force Majeure
- The company is not responsible for any failure to deliver services due to acts of God, war, pandemics, strikes, or other circumstances beyond its control.
- Photography and Marketing
- The company reserves the right to use photographs and videos taken during the tour for promotional purposes. Travelers can opt-out by informing the company in writing before the tour begins.
- Dispute Resolution
- Any dispute arising out, which cannot be amicably settled between the parties, shall be referred to adjudication in accordance with the laws of Bhutan.
