Payment Policy

Tour Payment Policy

  1. Advance Tour Payment:
    • Deadline: To ensure a seamless travel experience, the tour payment must be made at least 60 days prior to arrival in Bhutan.
    • Purpose: This advance payment allows us to confirm your tour package, secure hotel bookings, obtain your Bhutan visa, and make all necessary arrangements for your trip.
  2. Hotel Booking Deposit:
    • For 4-star and 5-star hotels, which typically have a limited inventory of rooms, bookings are guaranteed only upon receiving a 20% deposit of the total payment at the time of booking.
    • Recommendation: To avoid any inconvenience, we recommend prioritizing hotel deposits, especially if your visit coincides with Bhutan’s peak tourism season (March-May, September-November).
  3. Flight Payment:
    • Timing: Flight payments must be made at the time of booking to allow us to promptly purchase tickets and secure air seats.
    • This is particularly crucial during peak seasons when flights to and from Bhutan are in high demand and seats are quickly sold out.
  4. Payment Method:
    • To minimize additional costs, we strongly recommend sending the tour/trek payment via wire transfer to our Foreign Currency (FC) account maintained with Bhutan National Bank.
    • Wire transfers are more cost-effective compared to credit card payments, which often incur higher transaction fees and unfavorable exchange rates.

Additional Notes for Travelers

  • Peak Season Bookings: For visits during high-demand periods, we encourage early payments and bookings to ensure availability for flights, hotels, and other services.
  • Documentation: Ensure that the purpose of the payment is clearly mentioned during the wire transfer (e.g., “Tour Payment for [Travel Dates]”).
  • Payment Confirmation: After making the transfer, please share the payment receipt with us for verification.

Banking Details: The foreigner must have the tour operator’s complete bank details, including:

  • Bank name
  • SWIFT/BIC code
  • Account number
  • Name of the account holder (tour operator)
  • Purpose of payment (to specify the service or invoice)
